I am absolutely hooked on Face Off, the SyFy channel’s competition series where special-effects makeup artists create amazing works of living art with the hopes of winning the grand prize. Among the grand prize, which includes $100,000 and a 2012 Toyota Camry hybrid, the winner will also be given the opportunity to a become a guest lecturer at MAKE UP FOR EVER ACADEMY in New York and Paris. MAKE UP FOR EVER provides all of the make up for the show’s challenges. Tonight’s episode will air the “Avant-Garde” challenge, where contestants will have to create looks inspired by couture fashions and create an original look inspired by characters in a new video game.

Why am I telling you this? Because starting today, you can get in on the action and show off your artistic make up skills by entering MAKE UP FOR EVER’s Avant-Garde challenge on Facebook. Beauty mavens can submit their most imaginative looks, along with what they did to achieve it. The submissions will be narrowed down to 20 favorites on October 18^th, and Facebook fans will then be able to vote on the favorite looks. The winner will be announced on November 8^th.

What’s at stake? A train case filled with $1,000 worth of MAKE UP FOR EVER products and Eye Shadow palette signed by Dany Sanz.
