At a press event, I received what I think is one of the most innovative natural beauty products launches of the year – the EOS crystal by Evolution Of Smooth. The super cute, pyramid-shaped, see-through lip balm is said to be the world’s first wax-free lip balm. It also contains a blend of natural oils and butter including, avocado, aloe, coconut oil, castor oil, sunflower oil, and a special clear shea butter.

So, it’s very pretty, is made with natural ingredients and extremely Instagram-able, but does it work? After reviewing both flavors (it’s available in Hibiscus Peach and Vanilla Orchid) for a few days, I can tell you, yes. The balm glides on smoothly and hydrates without a sticky feel. It’s very lightweight and smells amazing! I will say though, that I did find myself having to reapply it every hour (but that could also be because it tastes so good I couldn’t stop licking my lips). You can grab one for $5 at any major drug store such as Walmart, Target, CVS and Walgreens.
