Let’s face it, most females start planning their weddings really young. While many dream about the perfect dress, shoes and even groom, I’ve only ever thought of the perfect makeup. That’s why I was excited to create a look inspired by a gorgeous wedding dress I found on Lover.ly, a wedding planning binder that lives in the cloud.
For this look I chose Modern Trousseau’s autum, a drop-dead strapless Italian duchess gown, that features French alenon lace, a fit-to-flare silhouette and sweetheart neckline. The gown is both daring and elegant, and the sultriness of it is refined with a delicate silk flower belt worn at the waist.
Because of the dress’ bold sexy style, I thought a soft, smokey eye would complement it perfectly. I used accents of silver and dark grey to create a whimsical, romantic eye look that adds some sparkle and nicely complements the light grey silk seen at the neckline and around the waist. The sparkles in the eye shadow are meant to jazz up the overall bridal makeup look, while a soft pink cheek color creates a natural blushing bride flush.
I topped off the look with a subdued lip color, so that the focus isn’t taken away from the dramatic eye makeup. Here are the products used:
