Art Hearts Fashion Redefines Beauty During NYFW

On Thursday September 11th, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week came to a close with a fashion show developed to support AIDS awareness and the work of exciting designers. The show, Art Hearts Fashion, was presented by the AIDS healthcare Foundation and drew a fashionable crowd of industry tastemakers and celebrities.

Erik Rosete’s Mister Triple X Street-wear line kicked off the event with the star-spangled banner in honor of the 13th anniversary of September 11th. His fashion collection, “Pair-A-Dice” also incorporated a special 9/11 tribute with war veteran and model Alex Minsky walking down the runway as part of the edgy fashion show.

“Bringing the first amputee to the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week runway not only showed his strong spirit and support of the disabled but also a strong support of our troops and war veterans on this special day,” Art Hearts Fashion said in a press release.

The theme of support for all regardless of physical differences continued as Control Sector opened its presentation with Albino model Shawn D. Ross.

Later on, guests were treated to a special surprise when ANTM Winner Jaslene Gonzales and Sha’s of Sunset’s Lilly Ghalichi, graced the runway of MTCostello’s presentation.

Other designers who displayed their collections included Hallie Sara, Gregorio Sanchez, Shrekahnth, Altaf Maaneshia and Furne Amato.

In NYC Art Hearts Fashion may have closed fashion week, but in Los Angeles, it will serve as the premier launch event, and bringing together an eclectic mix of top designers and artists over the course of three days (October 12th to the 14th).
