Last month I attended a tradeshow where I received a small sample of Inlight SuperFood Mask, which is 100% organic and free from synthetics and chemical fragrances. The brand is based in the UK but has its eyes set on expansion, and after trying this mask, I think this is definitely a company destined for success in the natural skin care market.

WHAT IS IT/INGREDIENTS
The organic mask is packed with spirulina, baobab, rose seed oil, carrot root and barley leaf (which sounds like it would make a great smoothie), and is meant to be used once a week to achieve glowing skin. Because spirulina is rich in chlorophyll, it imparts a gorgeous green hue. The product is also oil-based, so a little bit goes a long way.

SCENT & TEXTURE
It smells uplifting and calming at the same time, which I know is an oxymoron, but it’s true. After applying the mask, my mind couldn’t help but drift off to memories of my favorite spa.

WHAT IT DOES
The combination of ingredients aims to detoxify the skin and protect it from the signs of aging. Here are the key benefits the company lists on its website:

REVIEW
As mentioned, the mask has a lovely spa-like scent. Because it needs to be left on for 10-20 minutes you are able to take advantage of the built-in aromatherapy and relax. As I applied it, it felt slightly grainy, so I massaged into my skin to help with the exfoliation process. While it’s on, it does not dry, so the only way to know when to remove it is to keep track of the time. When it does come time to remove it, you need to use a damp washcloth or something similar (the website recommended a damp beauty glove). I didn’t read this direction at first, and when I went to remove the product with just the inside of my hand I made no progress because of the oils. Once you wipe it away, you are free to use your favorite toner or moisturizer.

RESULT
After using the mask, my skin definitely looked brighter and felt smooth. I did apply a tiny drop of my regular face oil after using it, and throughout the day I received so many complements on the texture and appearance of my face.
