Celebrities arrived for the 2016 People’s Choice Awards looking glamorous, and while many may be focused on the fashions, I am completely fixated on the makeup…or lack thereof. The red carpet trended with nude lips, defined brows and full lashes. So, how do you get the nude lip look yourself?
1. Nude lipstick isn’t as forgiving as vibrant pigments, so make sure you exfoliate your lips and then apply some balm to make sure it’s super soft and flake-free.
2. If you have fair skin, chose something that looks warm, like peach colors. If you are medium to dark, select something that brightens your skin with golden and bronze undertones. If undertones mean nothing too you, just chose a color that closely matches your lip color. Most people with olive skin can get away with just about any shade of nude.
3. Nude lips can make you look washed out, so warm up your cheeks with some color, or do like the celebs at the People’s Choice Awards and intensify those lashes.
I’ve featured nude lip colors a lot on my Instagram. Check out the most recent nude lipstick look I did here.
