Studies have shown that taking a shower can ease stress, calming your body and your mind. While you’re in there getting great emotional benefits, make sure your skin gets the optimal value of your time in the water by cleansing with the right sponge. ViaBuff may just be your answer. The new bath sponge line features four levels of exfoliating sponges so you can customize the perfect one for your body and face. For example, purple and blue are gentle and work well on people with skin conditions such as acne and psoriasis; green is mild for eczema suffers; pink is moderate for keratosis pilaris, waxing and ingrown hairs; and white is clinical for very rough, dry skin.
Designed as a soft foam ball, the sponge aims to remove dead skin cells, promote clarity, even out skin tone and boosts the skin’s natural renewal cycle.
I received the product for review a couple of weeks ago, and I have been using the blue ViaBuff Facial Mini Buff as well as the pink and white ViaBuff Body Duo Exfoliator (Level 3& 4: moderate and clinical). I liked that having two sides allowed me to adjust the sponge for my skin’s needs. For example I used the pink side of the sponge all over before shaving, and the white side to gently buff away the rough skin on my knees and elbows.
Unlike a lot of other bath products I have tried, it doesn’t absorb all of your soap, so you as can use less and save more of your cleanser! It is also eco-friendly and cost-effective, as the sponges are machine washable and durable. As an added bonus, you can purchase a 19-inch ViaBuff Handle to hook the sponges onto, so that you can make sure your body gets the benefits of the product in hard to reach places from head to toe.
My recommendation when using both the face and bath sponge would be to move it in circular motions – you’ll get a nice little massage and I also just think you get better benefits of the exfoliator that rubbing back and forth won’t give you.
ViaBuff prices range from $4 to $25 and can be purchased here.
