Nolcha Fashion Week Runway Recap

Last night’s artic temperatures didn’t keep away NYC’s fashion elites who converged at Manhattan’s Chelsea Piers for the 8:30pm Nolcha Fashion Week runway presentation. Prieston, a Hungarian designer, kicked of the show with an amazing collection featuring crystal embellishments, flowing dresses and geometric cutouts. The fall-winter 2015 collection was inspired by Alfred Hitchcock’s “The Birds” which could be seen with the feather design elements adorning some of the pieces, as well as with the colorful, chunky sweaters.

Following Prieston, Ann Himsel, an NYC-based designer debuted her first collection completely inspired by menswear colors, style, fabrics, and silhouettes. Strong, structured pieces emerged one by one with a sophisticated feminine flare sneaking through the masculine undertones.
Finally, Danny Nguyen Couture closed out the evening with stunning evening gowns that mesmerized the audience, with soft, luxurious fabrics, lace and detailed craftsmanship seen in the intricate use of fabric floral and crystals. It was also the only collection of the night to insert bright pops of color, with reds and magenta.

Check out some of the photos below to see pieces from each of the designers.
