I received products from Liz Earle Naturally Active Skincare as a gift over a month ago and didn’t use any of it until now. This week I’ve been using the brand’s Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser, and it is amazing! I’m talking I saw an immediate result right after using it. I had the most amazing dewy just-came-from-a-spa skin.

The formula is a rich cream that doesn’t really foam or lather; instead it gently washes dirt away. Some of the ingredients includes cocoa butter to soften and moisturise, as well as rosemary, chamomile and eucalyptus to tone and soothe. The scents of the essential oils work well together and aren’t overpowering.

The cleanser is meant to be used with the brand’s pure cotton cloth, which gently exfoliates. This cloth is so necessary for a healthy-looking glow. I tried using the cleanser without it and while my skin was cleansed and hydrated, it was nowhere near as glowing as when I used it in combination with the cloth.

The brand actually has an alphabetical list of ingredients on their website so that you can look up anything you may have a question about. They also follow sustainability, ethics and organic practices to determine the best ingredient sources to use. Although a lot of the brand’s formulations are preservative-free, in some cases they do use preservatives when absolutely essential for product safety.
