Darious Bland had to step into the role of “mom” when he became a single father almost seven years ago. The Alabama native had no experience on how to comb his daughter’s hair, but has since become somewhat of an expert, so he’s sharing his tips and tricks with fellow dads.
On May 21st, she hosted an interactive workshop, “Can Daddy Do My Hair?” in Hunstsville, AL, which gave 12 dads the opportunity to bring their daughters, ranging ages from 3-10, to learn how to style black hair.
According to the Huffington Post, Bland admits he still has a thing or two to learn.
“I’m learning how to do flat twists, bantu knots, I want to learn how to braid,” he said.
